Why this exists
Voice Bloom began as a folder of paragraphs I did not want to lose. Friends asked to read them; I put them here so the shelf has a single address. The name is plain language: a voice, written, kept while the light holds. It is not a product, a course, or a brand exercise. There is no app, no recording studio, no mailing list with countdown timers.
What I write about
Singapore as I meet it on foot — Marsiling mornings, Admiralty turns, Woodlands interchange queues, wet-market aisles, corridor rails with towels, kitchen tables in the slow afternoon. I write in British spelling because that is how I was taught, and because en-SG has room for that choice.
What I leave out
Sponsored content, affiliate links, listicles, travel-brochure language, and anything that turns neighbours into content without consent. On the Chin Swee note I do not report what I did not see. I do not name people who did not ask to be named. I do not speculate beyond my pavement angle.
How I work
I draft by hand sometimes, type later, revise when a reader or my own afterword catches a wrong bus number or stall detail. Quiet hours for post are late mornings and early afternoons, SGT — not a service promise, just a courtesy note so you know when I am likely at the kitchen table rather than the market.
Reach me
Static contact only: Gatepost lists address, phone, and email. No form, no auto-replies, no chat widget. If something here is wrong, write and I will fix it where fixes belong — usually the afterword and the note itself.
